Brent Anderson, Employee Spotlight – Brent Anderson

“I was born and raised in Lubbock, TX. I graduated from Coronado in ’82. I’ve been with Lowery about three years this coming November. I feel my passion for the work I do here is driven by the love I have for the people I work with, meeting new people, and the atmosphere of excellence we have here. The pride we take in our work, and the efforts we go to to do the right thing for the customer, every time. That’s what sets us apart from any other business.”

Brent also is the founder of a non-profit that works with artists from around the world to bless the families of children diagnosed with cancer with a custom portrait of their child. In My Father’s Eyes mission is to bring comfort and hope to these hurting families who are in a very dark and lonely place. Brent wants these families and children to see how special they truly are, to see themselves the way God sees them, to see themselves as beautiful…In My Father’s Eyes. IMFE’s pay’s for the framing, shipping, and everything involved in order to get these families their final portrait. The non-profit, “In My Father’s Eyes,” started in the autumn of 2015 and has worked with families from Poland to Connecticut.

Brent states, “I have always been artistic but never thought I wanted to draw people. I became frustrated with my art and the direction I wanted it to go in. And then one day I just felt as though God asked me to draw portraits of children with cancer… I ran from that for about three years, but God wouldn’t let me forget. I couldn’t get the thought of it out of my mind. Finally, I decided to knock on that door and see what opportunities came forward. I contacted a local hospital and left a voicemail explaining what I wanted to do. Much to my surprise, they called back and loved the idea. Within a day of that phone call, I was put in touch with my first family. Since that phone call we have provided almost 30 portraits to hurting families.” If you are interested in following the work Brent does with “In My Father’s Eyes,” follow him at these links:
